A Hit and a Miss

Liking my new fall nail polish.

I'm a pretty pink/red kind of nail gal but decided to try something a little edgier for fall. It's called "Commander in Chic" by Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure.

It's pretty grey but has a lavender undertone. In fact, in certain light it looks full on grey but then in church I noticed it looked full on lavender. I like that about it - makes it not so harsh.

Speaking of nails, I'm keeping my eye out for Essie's "Demure Vixen" color. First saw this on pinterest. It's definitely more me.

And now for the miss....

Ana and I tried making pumpkin muffins off a recipe I found here on pinterest. It only takes two ingredients.

Okay, I'm going to be completely honest with you.... they're sitting in the trash. (Tossed em during Ana's nap.) The batter was so thick that it was hard to get into the cupcake holders. And the taste... oh the taste. Maybe we just don't like the taste of pumpkin around here, because we did not like them. at all.

I mean, did I miss something? Have you made these??

Well darn. I should have started with the bad news first, so as not to leave you on such a negative note.
