Boy am I glad this day is o.v.e.r. The girls and I drove to my mom's house, and it was one of those 4 hour trips that took 6 hours. (An hour into the drive, my little one decided she did not want to be in the car.... and she never changed her mind.)
We have a fun-filled couple of days planned and, in the meantime, I leave you with a few notes:
Have you tried chalkboard paint? It's dangerous.
I bought this on Thursday and have been painting EVERYTHING! I don't know what's come over me but I can't stop. Darn you pinterest! It's all "drying" while we're gone and hopefully when I return home I'll have returned to my senses.... or just maybe it'll all look fabulous. Let's be optimistic.I'm loving apple season right now:
Aren't those pretty?
I've also been adding fresh spinach to my dinners. I usually use the frozen stuff and then one night this week - on a whim - I decided instead to use fresh spinach. (I added EVOO, salt and garlic) It tastes so much better than frozen spinach! Why didn't anyone tell me this?! I've been throwing it in all my meals. Here it is in chicken pasta:
Last but not least, I leave you with this quote to think about:
Oh I love fresh spinach also and buy a big container of it each week. We like it in salads as well as with our main meal. I am behind times with the chalkboard paint. I really am going to have to check it out!
ReplyDeleteToday was the first day I let my daughter use the chalkboard paint as a chalkboard and she loved it! I'm not sure yet how it will wear - but so far I really like the way it looks!
