Friday Fashion File

How cute is this!? I LOVE the baby bohemian look at Rikshaw Design. Thank you Shelli at a'la mode who introduced me to this site thanks to this post.

I really like their bedding too...

Also on the fashion front today....Check out these great sandals I picked up at Target. They won't fit baby until next summer - but I just couldn't pass them up. Why you may ask?..... besides the fact that they are A-DORABLE... they were only $4.48. Yes, I said $4.48!!

Target had a lot of summer shoes marked down 70%... mostly toddler sizes at my Target.

Happy Friday!

Welcome to the Fair!

We took Ana (and her dolly) to our county's 4-H fair this week.

I thought Ana would like seeing the farm animals, especially since we sing about them all the time!

She looks frightened here in the horse barn, but I don't think she was scared at all.
(BTW dolly stayed in the car.)

Ana just kind of stared at the animals. I wonder what she was thinking.

Best part of our visit:
One-week old piglets!! (Poor mama pig - I feel your pain!)

We got a little sad after talking to a "beef" farmer.

It was a very hot morning... and so humid! We didn't last long, but it was still fun. There were some fantastic quilts on display - I wish I would have taken some pictures to share. I have to get better at doing that! Next time - I promise!

Feeling Blue

Remember my BIG dresser project? The old dresser I painted white?

You can read all about the transformation here.

Well, I have some bad news....I'm not feeling it anymore. Truth be told, I was never really that excited about it. I think it needs color, and I'm thinking blue like this one:

or a little darker like this one:
I REALLY like this one:
oooh, what about this one?

okay, okay...back to blue. I think I'll be painting soon.

Pinterest

Have you been to Pinterest? It's a site to "catalogue the things you love"....or for me, a place to find oodles and oodles of inspiration. Basically, people post photos to share. It covers everything... even this:

That had to make you smile! Anyway, I'm obsessed with Pinterest. A lot of the photos I use on my blog I find on this site. Here are a couple that stood out while I was browsing the site tonight:

This may very well be my dream house...

 ...with this beautiful dining room!

I don't know that I would pick this fabric but here it just works.

Love this look - I need a skirt like that!

What an adorable idea for a photo!

It's made out of buttons! (great idea for a child's room or playroom)

I usually don't see photos like this on there.... but what a special moment.

If you have some extra time or are in need of inspiration, I suggest you head over to Pinterest.

Annapolis Part 3

The second half of our week was a little more peaceful. We got to spend some quality time with my husband's parents.

Ana also had her first boat ride! It was a short ride to dinner one night.

Wait, did I say ride?... I meant DRIVE!! That's right - baby behind the wheel!! As you can see, Ana took her role as captain very seriously.

Just kidding! This is actually a fake driver's wheel that grandpa put in for the kids!

My favorite part of the ride -  checking out all the houses on the water. I would love to see what these homes look like on the inside!

Okay... back to family time.

It was so nice to see Ana warm up to her grandparents. It usually takes her a while with people other than mommy and daddy - but by the end of the week she was handing out hugs to both Grandpa and Mimi.

Of course, a little ice cream never hurts:

Annapolis Part 2 with a French Flair

We celebrated Ana's and my husband's birthdays for a second time while we were in Annapolis. I guess Ana's not much of a party girl - she cried at the first birthday party and she cried at this one too. (I'm just good at hiding the bad pictures!)

Ana's Grandpa and Mimi just got back from France - so this lucky little lady got two beautiful dresses from Paris!!

Oh la la!!
P.S.  More Annapolis on the way...

Annapolis Part 1

We just returned from Annapolis where we spent the week with my hubby's family. It's so nice when visiting the in-laws is also a vacation! We had such a nice and relaxing trip.

My water baby!

Lots of attention from Ana's three cousins!!

My daughter LOVES bubbles - you can only imagine how she felt about this one!

Ana really liked listening to her cousin Ali sing!

Fun with cousin Morgan sitting on cool duck statues at the park

Doesn't Ana look like her cousin Ben?! - it's the eyes!

More to come...
