Weekend Happenings

My husband took today off work, so we had a long weekend.... of really not doing anything at all. It was family time that was nice and needed.

I introduced Ana to The Sound of Music. It's a little too long for a 2 year old (at least for my 2 year old) - so we skipped to the scenes with singing. She loved it.
There's something so heartwarming about her watching a show like that. I think because I enjoyed it when I was younger. Now she says, "Do Re Me" and I sing the song while she pretends to play the guitar with her tennis racket.

I made some chicken sausage the other night. It was a first for me. I cut the sausage into pieces and then put it on a baking sheet in the oven at 375 for about 25 minutes.
I also roasted some red pepper and onion with the sausage. (I added salt, pepper, garlic powder and EVOO on those.) It was good.

Picked up a new blouse. Here's a sneak peak:
I will try to post a pic after I wear it. I must have been influenced by the walls in this highly pinned office:
Speaking of Pinterest - things are moving along on my DIY art for Evie's bedroom. (Yes, I decided to take the diy route.) I'm now incorporating this look into my masterpiece:
Did I just say masterpiece?! ha. hahahaha. (Sometimes you just have to laugh at yourself.)

Okay, and tomorrow I am signing up for a Zumba class. I was thinking I would get involved in yoga - but I've changed my mind. (It looks a little more fun.) Do you zumba?
Oh, and one more quick note - I'm trying to compile a list of my favorite baby items to share with you. Why the heck did I ever buy a changing table?! Really, I've probably used mine twice with Evie, and I think that was just to use it.
