When it's this hot and humid I find the easiest way to wear my hair is to braid it lauren conrad style...

It keeps it up and out of the way AND not looking so messy when it really REALLY wants to be exactly that - A MESS! (Plus, it's a nice change from the plain old ponytail!)

So now that I'm in "braid mode" thanks to this when-will-it-ever-end heat wave, I've really wanted to try something like this:

It's the fishtail braid and it's blowing up online. I found these pictures via pinterest. (of course) AND it just so happens that super-stylish Sheridan French at The Southern Eclectic posted a how-to video for the fishtail braid just this week!! Check it out here.

Now, if only my hair was longer...much longer.
