Crayon Wreath

I put my crafting skills to work this week and made my mom a crayon wreath.

She teaches first grade and is so excited to hang this on her classroom door. It really made her day and you won't believe how easy it was to make:

I bought three boxes of crayons.

I also bought two embroidery circles - a large one and a smaller one to fit inside.

I painted the embroidery circles white.

Then I laid out the crayons on top of the two circles.
(ignore biking magazine)

Laying out your crayons is a good step before you glue. This way you can pick your pattern and also make sure your circle is even.

Then superglue the crayons on the embroidery circles and add ribbon.

Project Price Breakdown:
Crayons: $0.40 per box
Embroidery circles: $1.50 per circle
paint, glue and ribbon - had around the house

I got this idea after spotting this wreath online:

Here's another cute idea involving crayons:

What a great way to give some love to a teacher you know!!
